ICE Deports Nigerian National Following Multiple Criminal Convictions

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported a Nigerian national, Ayodeji Ajayi, following multiple criminal convictions and immigration violations.
ICE said the deportation forms part of its ongoing immigration enforcement efforts aimed at removing non-citizens with criminal records from the United States.
According to the agency, Ajayi entered the United States in 2007 on a student visa but remained in the country after leaving school, thereby violating the terms of his stay.
The agency stated that Ajayi subsequently accumulated a criminal record that included convictions for domestic violence, trespassing, intimidation and obstruction.
ICE also noted that his criminal history contained allegations and charges related to kidnapping, rape and family neglect.
The agency announced the deportation in a statement shared on its official X account, describing the action as part of the administration’s broader efforts to enforce immigration laws and remove undocumented immigrants with criminal histories.
The deportation comes amid intensified immigration enforcement measures by US authorities targeting non-citizens with criminal records.
