Matawalle Gives SUVs To Eight Zamfara Lawmakers After APC U-Turn

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle, has presented eight Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly following their decision to remain in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmakers had earlier indicated plans to leave the party but subsequently reversed their decision, reaffirming their loyalty to the APC and commitment to Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The vehicles were presented on Wednesday on behalf of the minister by Hon. Yazid Shehu Danfulani, who said the gesture fulfilled Matawalle’s promise to empower the lawmakers and strengthen party unity in the state.

Danfulani added that the beneficiaries would be integrated into the Tinubu Again Movement to mobilise grassroots support for the President and other APC candidates.

The beneficiaries are Aliyu Ango Kagara (Talata Mafara South), Ibrahim Tukur Bakura (Bakura), Faruk Musa Dosara (Maradun I), Bashir Abubakar Masama (Bukkuyum North), Mukhtar Nasiru Kaura (Kaura North), Nasiru Abdullahi (Maru North), Bashar Bello (Bungudu West) and Bashar Aliyu (Gummi I).

On October 18, Matawalle facilitated the lawmakers’ visit to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, where they pledged support for his re-election.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Kagara thanked Matawalle for his intervention and pledged their commitment to Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign.
