2027: AbdulRazaq Claims APC, PDP In Kwara Will Back Tinubu
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has claimed that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
AbdulRazaq attributed the expected support to the influence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who has declared support for Tinubu despite belonging to the PDP.
The governor spoke when the Director-General of Tinubu’s presidential campaign, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, visited the Kwara State Government House.
According to AbdulRazaq, the APC accounts for 70 per cent of the state’s political strength, while the PDP represents the remaining 30 per cent.
He argued that Wike’s support for Tinubu had brought the two blocs together, making Kwara one of the states where the President could find it easiest to secure victory.
The governor’s remarks represent his assessment of the state’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general election.
