Oyo Govt Conducts Confirmation Exam For 4,500 Junior Officers
The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Establishments and Training, has conducted the 2026 mandatory confirmation examination for officers on Grade Levels 1 to 6.
The examination, held on Tuesday, August 11, attracted more than 4,500 candidates across various cadres and was conducted simultaneously at seven designated zonal centres across the state.
Participants included Clerical Officers, Clerical Assistants, Store Attendants and officers in other allied positions.
The mandatory examination is required for officers in junior cadres to qualify for confirmation of their appointments within two years of employment.
Addressing candidates at the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Centre, which served Ibadan Zones 1 and 2, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Hameed Alade Bello, urged participants to remain patient and give the examination their best.
Bello assured eligible officers that every batch would be accommodated, describing the examination as an important step towards further career development.
The examination covered areas including Public Service Rules I and II and Current Affairs.
The ministry said results would be released and communicated to participants through their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) after the grading process.
