168 Children Killed: Iran Demands Truth, Justice

The Iranian Embassy in Nigeria has called for truth, accountability and justice over the deaths of 168 children in a missile strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab.
The embassy made the demand in a statement on Friday, saying the children were killed in what it described as a US missile strike on the school.
The February 28 attack on the school, which killed more than 150 people, has been the subject of international investigations. Evidence reviewed by major international news organisations has pointed to a US strike on a nearby military facility, although questions over the circumstances and responsibility remain.

The embassy said those responsible must be identified and held accountable, stressing that the lives of children should be valued equally regardless of nationality.
“The life of an Iranian child is no less valuable than the life of an American, European or any other child in the world,” the embassy said.
It urged the international community to uphold international humanitarian law and ensure that attacks on civilians, particularly children and schools, are properly investigated.
The embassy’s appeal comes months after the February 28 attack, which UNICEF said reportedly killed 168 girls at the school while classes were in session.
