Gbonka Olubadan: NUJ Oyo Celebrates Patron, Dotun Sanusi
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated its Patron, Chief Dotun Sanusi, on his elevation to the prestigious chieftaincy title of Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of his service to humanity and the development of Ibadanland.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Akeem Abas, and Secretary, Temidayo Adu, the union praised Sanusi’s enduring commitment to philanthropy, community development, youth empowerment, education and healthcare, noting that his contributions have positively impacted countless lives across Oyo State and beyond.
The Council said the elevation reflects Sanusi’s exemplary leadership, generosity and unwavering dedication to the progress of Ibadanland, expressing confidence that he would continue to contribute to the promotion of peace, cultural heritage and sustainable development in his new traditional role.
It further described the renowned businessman and philanthropist as a worthy patron whose life and achievements continue to inspire hope and service, while reaffirming its admiration for his commitment to the welfare of the people.
The NUJ prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and long life for Chief Sanusi as he assumes the responsibilities of his new chieftaincy title.
