‘We Must Never Lose Faith In Nigeria’ — Oyo APC Gov Candidate Alli

The Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has urged Nigerians to renew their faith in the country and work together to build a peaceful and prosperous nation.

Alli made the call in his Independence Day message on Thursday in Ibadan, saying the 66th anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and the responsibility of citizens to preserve the country.

He urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its economic reforms, saying responsible leadership, patriotism and collective action were needed to overcome the nation’s challenges.

The APC candidate also appealed to Oyo residents to support Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, arguing that an APC-led government in the state could work more closely with the Federal Government on development initiatives.

Alli said his ambition to govern Oyo was driven by a desire to provide inclusive and people-centred leadership, with priorities including education, security, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic development.

He also urged APC members across the state’s 33 local government areas and 351 wards to close ranks and work for the success of the party’s candidates.

Alli congratulated Nigerians on the Independence anniversary and prayed for peace, security and prosperity in the country.
