‘Everything Will Soon Be Online’ — Oyo Govt Trains 80 Civil Servants
The Oyo State Government has trained 80 civil servants in basic computer operations as part of efforts to build a digitally competent workforce.
The three-week programme was organised by the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Centre, Ibadan, to improve digital skills, workplace efficiency and service delivery across government agencies.
Commissioner for Investment, Trade, Cooperatives and Industry, Professor Saliu Adelabu, said the training was part of the state’s transition from conventional administration to a digital system.
“The State Government is migrating from conventional administration to a virtual system; everything will soon be online,” Adelabu said.
He disclosed that the government would soon introduce Business Process Automation across its operations, adding that computer literacy was essential to effective public administration.
Declaring the training closed, Head of Service, Dr Adenike Fasina, represented by Permanent Secretary, Career Management Service, Muyiwa Olagoke, assured the Staff Development Centre of continued government support.
The graduates were urged to apply and continuously improve the skills acquired during the programme to enhance their performance and career development.
