JUST-IN: Plateau Killings: Angry Women Burn Down Traditional Ruler’s Residence in Bokkos LGA
Some angry women from Bokkos local government in Plateau State have reportedly burned down the residence of the community’s traditional ruler.
This protest was in reaction to the arrest of some community members, who are alleged to be involved in the recent spate of killings in Plateau, where over 150 people were confirmed dead.
Recall the report The Pendulum Media published earlier today that the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Alfred Alabo, disclosed the arrests of eight suspects in connection with the recent killings in the villages of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi local government areas.
This may, however, not be unconnected to the enraged women’s protest.
The video was shared by an X user # kc_journalist on his handle on Friday, January 5.
He wrote: “Angry women burn down Bokkos Traditional Ruler’s house over the arrest of some members of the community for their alleged involvement in the recent killings in Plateau where over 150 people were confirmed dead. They accused the traditional ruler of being a sellout.”
