The thugs who attacked the campaign train yelled “APC” and brandished deadly weapons and firearms, according to a statement by the chairman of the media and publicity team for the JandorFunke 2023 Campaign Council and Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary, Hon. Hakeem Amode.
“You may recall that our party expressed concern recently regarding the threat to use APC-sponsored thugs to attack the campaign initiatives of our governor candidate, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran-JANDOR. We would like to state categorically that this threat will not deter our candidate’s determination to run in the next election and win on March 29, 2023.
To find out who committed the attack and to take any necessary disciplinary action against them in order to stop similar incidents from happening again and to reassure our members that they will be protected, we would like to appeal to the Lagos State Police Commissioner and the Area Commander of Police in the Badagry division during this campaign period.”
Additionally, we would want to issue a stern warning to anyone who intends to stir up unrest or cause disruptions during the campaign and elections, saying that we will not back down and will fight back against intimidation in any form”.
