APM Moves To Reconcile Members, Mobilise Support For Makinde Ahead Of 2027
The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Oyo State has commenced moves to reconcile members and strengthen cooperation among its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative was discussed at a strategic meeting attended by the party’s governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates, alongside party leaders and members of the campaign council.
Speaking at the meeting, Acting Governor Bayo Lawal urged the candidates to unite, maintain discipline and work together to take the party’s campaign to the grassroots.
“The task ahead requires unity, commitment and genuine teamwork,” Lawal said.
Director-General of the Campaign Council, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, said the council’s mandate covered all APM candidates and included mobilising support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition in Oyo State.
Adeniran urged candidates to return to their respective constituencies, resolve lingering disagreements and avoid unnecessary conflicts ahead of the election.
He also announced plans for reconciliation meetings across the three senatorial districts.
APM governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi, and other party leaders pledged to strengthen collaboration, expressing optimism that unity and coordinated mobilisation would improve the party’s chances in 2027.
