Party Meeting Turns Tragic As Kogi APC Chairman Dies
A reconciliation meeting of All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State has ended in tragedy following the sudden death of the council’s party chairman, Oyewole Mayowa Solomon.
Solomon reportedly collapsed on Friday while participating in the meeting convened by a former APC chairman in the council, Funsho Olumoko, to promote unity among party members.
According to TVC, his sudden collapse threw participants into confusion.
He was rushed to a hospital in Kabba but reportedly died shortly after arriving at the facility.
The cause of his death had not been officially disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
