Petrol Price Rises Again In Abuja As MRS, NNPCL, Others Adjust Pump Rates
Petrol prices have risen again in parts of Abuja, with MRS and other filling stations adjusting their pump rates following an increase in Dangote Refinery’s gantry price.

on Saturday showed MRS filling stations along Kubwa and Lugbe expressways selling Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, at N1,230 per litre, up from N1,210.
Other outlets, including NNPCL, Rainoil, Empire Energy and Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company, were selling petrol at prices ranging from N1,250 to N1,299 per litre.
A manager at an MRS station said the N20 increase followed a directive from the company’s Lagos headquarters.
“We got the directive to raise our price by N20 to N1,230 per litre on Friday, but no reason was given,” he said.
The latest adjustment comes after Dangote Refinery raised its petrol gantry price on Friday from N1,165 to N1,185 per litre.
The development means motorists in Abuja and neighbouring areas may now pay between N1,230 and N1,299 per litre for petrol.
The latest increase also comes weeks after filling stations cut pump prices by at least N90 per litre following an earlier reduction in Dangote Refinery’s gantry price.
