PDP Chieftain Throws Weight Behind Peter Obi Ahead Of 2027 Poll

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anselm Ijebor, has thrown his weight behind the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ijebor described the former Anambra State governor as a leader with a proven record of integrity, competence and commitment to national development, insisting that Obi remains the best candidate to rebuild Nigeria.

He said he would mobilise support for Obi while urging Nigerians to back leaders with the experience, vision and capacity to address the country’s challenges.

According to him, the 2027 general election presents another opportunity for Nigerians to elect leaders capable of restoring public confidence through accountability, transparency and purposeful governance.

“As the 2027 general election approaches, Nigerians have an opportunity to elect leaders with the experience, vision and capacity to deliver good governance and rebuild the country.

“To me, Obi remains the best choice,” Ijebor said.

The PDP chieftain maintained that Nigeria’s future depends on electing leaders who will prioritise national development and place the country’s interests above personal or political considerations.
