Electricity Tariff Hike: NLC Protests, Shuts Down DisCo Office In Jos
The headquarters of Jos Electricity Distribution Company, JEDC, in Plateau State has been shut down by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC over the electricity tariff hike.
The Pendulum Media gathered that the main gate of the Disco company was blocked by the protesting labour union leaving the staff of DisCo stranded outside the main building.
Recall that both the NLC and Trade Union Congress, TUC, had threatened to shut down offices of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and Distribution Companies (DisCos) nationwide.
This is as a result of their failure to comply with their demand of total reversal of the electricity tariff hike.
