Five New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The agency revealed that four cases were recorded in Rivers state and one recorded in Lagos state, between March 25 and March 31, 2023; adding that four states which include Abia, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa states reported no case.

It added that the multi-sectoral national emergency operations center activated at level two will continue to coordinate the national response activities.

The agency, however, stated that 266,665 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, 259,951 cases, discharged, and 3,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory.
