Earth Shakes Under Sanliurfa As 5.4 Quake Strikes
A 5.4-magnitude earthquake shook parts of southeastern Turkey on Thursday, with tremors felt around the city of Sanliurfa.
The earthquake struck at about 10:40 a.m. local time, with its epicentre located just north of Sanliurfa, according to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
AFAD said there were no immediate reports of casualties, damage or other adverse effects following the tremor.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation as residents assess the impact of the quake.
