BREAKING: IGP Orders Arrest of Fela’s Son for Slapping Police Officer
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has called for the arrest of Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat maestro, Fela.
The Force Public Relations Officer,
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday night.
Seun Kuti was seen in a video which has generated different reactions on social media, pushing and slapping a police officer in uniform.
Although, the event that led to Kuti’s harassment of the police officer is still shady.
“The IGP has equally ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and prosecution of the suspect accordingly.”
“IGP Usman Alkali Baba assures Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book,” Adejobi said in a statement.
