Natasha Takes Re-election Campaign To Five LGAs In Kogi Central

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has commenced her campaign for re-election to the Senate, taking her political mobilisation to communities across the five local government areas of Kogi Central ahead of the February 6, 2027 election.

The campaign activities, which began on Saturday, October 31, 2026, attracted supporters, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and political stakeholders in several communities, including Okene and neighbouring areas.

According to a statement from her media office, the activities culminated in a gathering at her residence in Obeiba, Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, where thousands of supporters reportedly assembled to express support for her re-election bid.

The campaign brought together party stakeholders and community leaders from Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi, Okene and Ogori-Magongo.

Akpoti-Uduaghan was accompanied by her husband, High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, political associates and aides. PDP candidates contesting National Assembly and State House of Assembly seats in the district also participated.

Addressing the gathering, the senator thanked her supporters and said her relationship with the people of Kogi Central extended beyond election periods.

She reaffirmed her commitment to constituency development and quality representation, promising to intensify legislative advocacy for infrastructure, economic opportunities and other interventions across the district.

She particularly highlighted the need to address longstanding developmental challenges in the Ajaokuta area.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said effective representation required continuous engagement with constituents and responsiveness to their needs rather than occasional contact during election campaigns.

The participation of other PDP candidates also provided an opportunity for party members to strengthen consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign launch marks the beginning of Akpoti-Uduaghan’s renewed political engagement across Kogi Central ahead of the February senatorial election.
