Court Grants Principal, Hamzat, Ex- Queen Naomi Bail
Following the prosecution of the
organizers of the Ibadan Christmas funfair on Wednesday, December 18, 2024; an high Court in the State has granted the trio bail.
Recall, the Principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, Mr. Abdullahi Fasasi; the Proprietor of Agidigbo FM, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat; and Olori Naomi Silekunola, an estranged wife of the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi were arrested and remanded at the Agodi Correctional Facility due to the stampede that occurred leading to the deaths of thirty-five (35) children.

an high Court sitting in Oyo State has granted them bail.
Justice K.B. Olawoyin granted the bail on Monday after listening to the arguments of their counsels.
The Judge gave five conditions for the bail, including N10 million and two sureties who must submit landed documents within the court’s jurisdiction.
Other conditions are that the applicants must deposit their international passports with the court and they are barred from granting any form of interview during the pendency of the case.
