JUST-IN: Gunmen Abduct Benue Information Commissioner, Matthew Abo
The Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism Matthew Abo has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The Pendulum Media gathered that
the incident happened at about 8 p.m. on Sunday at his residence in Zaki-Biam.
An eyewitness, who spoke to the press said the gunmen came on four motorcycles and kidnapped Abo to an unknown destination.
He noted that the abductors compelled the Commissioner at gunpoint to sit behind the rider of one of the motorcycles while a gunman sat behind him.
However, a call was said to have been made by Abo’s abductors to a family member as they promised to call again.
The Benue State Government was yet to react to the incident at the time of this report.
