2023 WWC: Nigeria’s Super Falcons Bow Out After Losing to England in 4-2 Penalty Shoots
Nigeria’s Inspiring Super Falcons lost to England via penalty shoot-out on Monday.
The Super Falcons had pressed the British Lionesses from the beginning of the game with a goalless draw for 120 minutes.
Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed their spot-kicks during the penalty shoot-out.
What this means is that Nigeria will
not participate in the quarter-final stages at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand which will take place on Friday and Saturday.
