Video: Trump Gives Speech on His Criminal Case
Former United States President, Donald Trump reacted in a speech on his arraignment at the New York City courthouse on Tuesday.
Trump, who had pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the 34 charges levied against him immediately flew back to Florida after the arraignment and he (Trump) held an event with his supporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday evening.
Reacting to his indictment, Mr. Trump, who plans to run again for the White House in 2024, stated that the only crime he committed was to defend the United States from those who seek to destroy it.
He said:
“I never thought anything like this could happen in America, never thought it could happen. The only crime that I have committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it,” Trump said.
“It’s an insult to our country,” he added.
