Election Will Not Hold in Over 200 Polling Units – INEC
In preparation for the 2023 elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the election will not hold in 240 polling units.
The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu stated this at a meeting with leaders of political parties on Monday, February 13, 2023.
According to him, nobody chose to vote in these polling units.
The meeting is to bring the political parties up to speed with all the preparations for the elections and to remind the parties about their obligations.
Eighteen political parties are participating in the elections and some of their chairmen and other members of their National Working Committee (NWC) are in attendance.
