Abuja-Kaduna Train Commences Operation on Tuesday

KA2 departs Rigasa at 7 am on Tuesday

The Board and Management of Nigerian Railway Corporation have announced the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna train service after it was suspended a week ago.

Following the derailment at the Kubwa station, the Director of Operations, (NRC) Mr. Niyi Alli on Monday announced to stop the suspension and resume rail activities on Tuesday.

The statement reads:

“The Board and Management of NRC are pleased to announce the recommencement of the Abuja/ Kaduna Train Service which was suspended on Friday 27th Jan. 2023 due to the derailment at Kubwa Station.

“Subsequently, the service will resume on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, with the following daily schedule; KA2 departs Rigasa at 7 am; AK1 departs Idu at 10 am; KA4 departs Rigasa at 1 pm while AK3 departs Idu at 4 pm.

“However on Wednesday only KA2 will depart Rigasa at 7 am and AK 3 will depart Idu at 4 pm.

According to the statement, the Corporation apologized for any inconvenience the temporary hold must have had on their passengers
