
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, (LP) Peter Obi during his campaign in Borno on Saturday declared he has big plans for the citizens if voted for.
Mr. Obi, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), during a rally in Maiduguri on Saturday, stated that he would help pull people out of poverty by concentrating on the areas of agriculture and education

“My administration has big plans for the north, particularly in areas of agriculture and education that will help pull it out of poverty, ” He said.
The LP presidential candidate while lamenting on the security situation in Borno and other parts of the country pledged to restore hope to the people and vowed that no Nigerian will stay in displaced persons’ camp.
X-raying the economic strength of Borno state, Peter Obi revealed that billions of naira would be generated annually if Borno’s lands and resources are well harnessed and utilized.
He, however, pleads for a chance to create a new Nigeria
“We want you to hold us responsible for a new Nigeria. For a long time, people have wasted the future of Nigerians and we cannot continue like that.
“We will secure and restore Nigeria to what it should be,” he noted
In addition, Vice-Presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmad, and Aisha Yusuf also gave separate remarks on Obi’s mandate.

Datti-Ahmed said that LP remains the only alternative to salvage the country adding that Peter Obi didn’t borrow money to work for his state when he was Anambra’s former governor.
Also, Aisha Yusuf, an activist, and member of the party in her address urged Nigerians to take the 2023 election with all seriousness by voting for the LP candidates because of the people-oriented programs of the party

Ibrahim Mshelia, Borno LP governorship candidate, who was also present at the campaign urged the people not to sell their votes but, to vote for LP to actualize its dream of restoring the lost glory of the state and the nation in general.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Obi also visited the southern part of the state, Shehu of Borno’s Palace and held meetings with youth and women groups, before leaving.
