Ibadan recorded another fire incident on Wednesday at the Sumal Foods Limited, located at Oluyole Industrial Estate.
The warehouse inhabiting the Sumal Foods’ raw materials needed for production was in flames on the morning of Wednesday having begun from the bread section.
However, the actual cause of the outbreak is still unknown at the time of filing this report; even though the incident was confirmed to Newsmen via a telephone conversation by the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka.
“Yes, we are aware of the fire incident which started around 3:00 am. Our officers are there and have successfully controlled the fire incident. The Federal Fire Service is also there and some other agencies. Our men are still there so I cannot give you detailed information now.” He said.
Moreover, the Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso, when contacted said “The incident was reported around the early hours of today. Thankfully no fatalities were recorded. Discreet investigations have also commenced to ascertain the possible cause of the incident. Updates would be provided accordingly.” He added
