Peter Obi Expresses Shock Over Kaduna LP’s Women Leader Death

“…the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office.”

The Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has expressed shock over the death of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Labour Party’s women leader in Daura, Kaduna State.

According to the statement released on Tuesday by the Publicity secretary of the LP in southern Kaduna, Edward Buju revealed that Mrs. Victoria Chintex was killed at her residence in Daura after gunmen invaded and shot her.
Equally, her husband who also became a victim of such violence sustained gunshot injuries. is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.

Obi said her death is so touching that it would stay in his heart and many others in his political family in a long time.

Aside sharing his condolence, the presidential candidate stated that the loss of many innocent lives across the nation is attributed to gunmen and terrorists which is why there is a need for him to place high premium on lives and property as his first duty in office.

The statement reads;
“I am shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Labour Party’s women leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, by yet to be identified gunmen. Her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to our Labour Party. She lives on in our hearts.”

“Her killing, and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office. We must not allow the waste of human lives in Nigeria under any guise.”

“May the soul of Late Mrs. Victoria Chintex rest in perfect peace. My sincere condolence to her family. Peter Obi
