Oyo 2023: Accord Unveils Deputy Governorship Candidate, Campaign Council
In preparations for the general elections in 2023, Professor Abiodun Ayandele has been declared as Accord’s candidate for Deputy Governor of Oyo state.
Professor Ayandele is a microbiology professor from Ogbomoso, Oyo state, and descended from the family of the late Chief Ayo Aflù, a well-known figure in the Ogbomoso community.
Senator Ayo Adeseun, a party leader, declared that the nomination of Professor Ayandele, 49, as the Deputy Governorship candidate was made in the best interests of the party and the general public.
Professor Ayandele promised in her acceptance speech that, if elected governor and wins the general election in 2023, she will collaborate with Chief Bayo Adelabu to further democracy.
At the event, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the flag bearer for the Accord, also selected Chief Adegboyega Adegoke as the director general of the party’s campaign team and Senator Ayo Adeseun, a former national lawmaker, as chairman of the Joint Campaign Council.
The party, however, used the occasion to introduce its candidates across all senatorial, house of Reps, and assembly, including Accord’s Senatorial Candidate for Oyo South, Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi to party supporters.
