Osun Elections: A Hard-Fought Battle, says Peter Obi
The Labour party presidential aspirant, Peter Obi while warmly congratulating the winner of the Osun Polls, Senator Ademola Adeleke of his emergence as the next Governor of the state has also used the opportunity to recognize the spirit of resolve and sportsmanship of his comrades who were co-aspirants in the governorship race; Rt. Hon Lasun Sulaimon Yusuff and his running mate, Adeola Adekunle Atanda.
In his congratulatory themed message, he noted that the governorship race was indeed a hard fought battle. He wrote, “I also congratulate the candidate of our @NgLabour, Rt. Hon Lasun Sulaimon Yusuff and his running mate, Adeola Adekunle Atanda, for a hard fought and their spirit of resolve and sportsmanship, despite the outcome…”
Rt. Hon. Lasun Sulaimon and his running mate got 2,729 votes a wide margin from the APC and PDP who scored 403,375 and 375,027 respectively The ‘Obicentric’ candidate further revived the possible dampened spirt of the Obidient Movement Family as well as his supporters nationally.
He inflated their confidence in them believing that Labour Party according to their mandate will ‘‘rescue’ and ‘recover’ the nation from her continued decline, shift the National Psyche from consumption to Production and from sharing dwindling resources to creating wealth and frontally combating poverty.’
