Tinubu’s Sterling Contribution to our Democracy and its Progress stand him Out-Osinbajo

The Vice- President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has publicly written a congratulatory note to the Presidential flag bearer of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a statement on Thursday, 9th June, 2022. This open congratulatory message makes Osinbajo’s first after Tinubu won the ticket and was declared winner of the APC Presidential Primary at Eagle square, Abuja.

Despite taking the third place with 235 votes in the election, the eloquent vice-president has deemed it fit to celebrate and congratulate the winner of the election who won through a land slide of 1,271 votes saying, ‘…Tinubu’s sterling contributions to democracy stood him out.’

In his statement, he acknowledged that unity and strength are paramount for the APC  in order for them to pursue their ‘collective vision as a party towards building a country  that can provide a decent life and livelihoods for all our people”

His statement reads,

 “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at our party primaries and his emergence as the Presidential Candidate and Flag bearer of our great party, the APC for the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Elections.

I also congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari and all leaders of the APC for a successful Special Convention and Presidential Primary.

For many decades, our Flag bearer has shown passion, patriotism, courage and determination in the cause of nation-building. His sterling contributions to our democracy and its progress stand him out.

His wealth of experience will certainly be critical in our party’s continued efforts to attain a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.

To all members of our great party, regardless of who you voted for at the primaries, we must now unite behind our Presidential Candidate and Flag bearer to ensure victory for our party in the 2023 elections.

As true progressives, we must remain strong and united in pursuing our collective vision as a party toward building a country that can provide a decent life and livelihoods for all our people.”

 Tinubu had won the APC’s presidential ticket with support from seven co-aspirants; Ibikunle Amosun, Abubakar Badaru, Robert Boroffice ,Dimeji Bankole, Ken Nnamani and Godswill Akpabio  who aborted their presidential race in other for him to attain his golden fleece defeating his closest rivals, ex-minister Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President of Nigeria, Prof.  Yemi Osinbajo.
