Fuel Relief: Dangote Refinery Lowers Petrol, Diesel Prices
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the ex-depot prices of petrol and diesel, cutting the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦50 per litre and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) by ₦80 per litre.
The new prices, which take effect from Thursday, August 6, reduce the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165 per litre, while diesel drops from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570 per litre.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the refinery said the adjustment reflects its commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable and accessible to consumers across the country.
According to the company, the latest review is part of ongoing efforts to enhance energy affordability, support economic activities and maintain a stable supply of high-quality petroleum products.
Dangote Refinery added that it would continue to leverage operational efficiencies to deliver value to consumers, businesses and stakeholders whenever market conditions permit.
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s energy security by reducing dependence on imported refined petroleum products while supporting the nation’s economic development.
