Fuel Relief: MRS Cuts Petrol Price To ₦1,265 Per Litre
Motorists have started paying less for petrol after Dangote Refinery-backed MRS filling stations reduced their pump price to ₦1,265 per litre from ₦1,305.
A market survey by Daily Post showed the new price at MRS outlets in Kubwa and along the Lugbe Expressway in Abuja, representing a ₦40 reduction.
Similarly, AA Rano filling stations cut their pump price by ₦30, lowering the cost of petrol to ₦1,300 per litre from ₦1,330.
The price cuts come after nearly two weeks of increases linked to fluctuations in global crude oil prices.
The development also follows Dangote Refinery’s recent decision to supply petrol at a gantry price of ₦1,215 per litre as part of its expanded distribution plan across at least five states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Meanwhile, petrol is currently being sold at between ₦1,217 and ₦1,222 per litre at major depots, including Pinnacle, Emedab, NIPCO and Sigmund.
