‘Forgive Oloyede’-Shehu Sani Appeals To Nigerians Over UTME Error

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has begged Nigerians on behalf of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB’s Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede over his admittance of the technical glitch error.
Recall the public outcry that trailed the massive failure by candidates of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME with the Registrar claiming that over 1.5 million out of 1.9 million candidates who sat for the UTME, reportedly scored below 200 out of the maximum 400 marks.
This outcome has led to some tragic losses across the nation with reports of a candidate who committed suicide because of her low score.
Sani, however, claimed no one or technology is above mistake as Oloyede had done the right thing by publicly asking for forgiveness rather than being ‘arrogant, recalcitrant or looking for scapegoats’.
He wrote: “No human being and no technology is beyond error. The JAMB Boss Professor Ishaq has admitted errors and sought forgiveness and promised rectification.
“He should be forgiven and given the chance to redeem his agency.
“It’s better than being arrogant, recalcitrant or looking for scapegoats.
“He made mistakes but was humbled to admit it. The affected persons should sheath their swords please.”
