BREAKING: Dangote Refinery Cuts Down Petrol Price To N899

The cost of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, or petrol from Dangote refinery has gone through another change that has left many Nigerians happy.
The oil firm through its spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina on X disclosed in a statement that it has reduced its petrol ex-depot price to N899.50 per litre, down from N970.
This announcement was made on Thursday and according to Chiejina as read in the statement, the reduction is to ease transport costs during the festive period.
The statement read,
“…we have now announced a new price of N899.50 per litre. This reduction is designed to ease transport costs during the festive period.
“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.
“Furthermore, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,”.
This follows the company’s first reduction of petrol prices to N970 per litre in November, 2024.
It is also observed that both the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC, and oil marketers had also reduced petrol prices in their retail outlets.
