3 Protesters Gunned Down In An Attempt To Vandalize Food Storage Facilities In Yobe

Security operatives have shot dead three protesters while attempting to vandalize food storage facilities in Potiskum town, Yobe State.
The food storage facilities belong to some international non-governmental organizations in the state.
The Pendulum Media learned that the protesting youths defied the 24-hour curfew order and attempted to vandalise the facilities in the early hours of Friday.
Apart from the dead protesters, others were reportedly injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
Moreover, funeral prayers for the deceased were conducted immediately after Friday prayer at the Palace of Emir of Pataskum.
On the contrary, the situation in Damaturu, the state capital, seemed different, as it remains calm and peaceful.
No group in Damaturu has come out to protest in the day 2 of the nationwide protest as the residents carried on with their businesses.
As of the time of filling in this report, security operatives comprising the Army, Police, NSCDC, DSS and Vigilante were stationed at strategic locations within the Damaturu metropolis.
