‘You Will Dance Amapiano After Your AFCON Defeat’- Teni Vows, Pleads With Super Eagles For Revenge After Grammy Loss

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been called upon to avenge the country’s Afrobeats stars’ defeat in the grand Grammy Award.
Recall the 66th Grammys on Sunday snubbed five nominees from Nigeria including; Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Davido, Asake and Olamide thereby, awarding South African popstar Tyla as the Best African Music Performer.
In what seemed like an act of revenge, Singer Teniola Apata aka Teni in a video shared on Instagram charged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to defeat South Africa in Wednesday’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Semi-final encounter against South Africa.
She said; “Grammy there’s a problem. We have many parties. You have killed our groove. South Africa, Tyla’s ‘Water.’ Alright. Osimhen, over to you. Lookman, over to you. South Africa, you will dance Amapiano after your AFCON defeat. You killed my groove. Grammy why?,” she said in a mixture of Yoruba and English.
