‘You cannot do care work with an uncaring heart’- Reactions as Four UK Health Workers Were Jailed for Assaulting 89-year-old Patient

The British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC on Thursday reported on how a hidden camera caught four healthcare workers assaulting an elderly woman diagnosed with vascular dementia and could not speak.

According to the report, the healthcare workers identified as Ame Tunkara, Morountaro Adefila,
Danny Ohen and Bridget Aideyan were all found guilty of the same crime hitting the aged woman with a pillow, and treating her with a lack of dignity; the Police said.

Reacting to the incident, some netizens decried the inhuman actions of the workers and also justified the jail term punishment meted out to them, while others knocked people tagging the jailed workers as Nigerians.
