Work towards the Success of APC in 2023 – Oyo APC Chair, Omodewu, Admonishes Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ) Group

“Disciples of Jagaban,  (DOJ) was the first political movement that began mobilization for the actualization of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition.”

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Oyo State, Chief Isaac Omodewu has on Saturday, given assurance that the Party would win the Presidential, Governorship, and other elective positions across the country in the 2023 general elections.

He explained that party faithful across the country must work tirelessly towards the victory of the APC for the presidency, governorship, and national and state houses of assemblies in 2023.

“The number of registered voters in the southwest is about 18.4 million, Oyo and Lagos States carry about 10.5m from the southwest figure which means Oyo State and Lagos State must deliver at least 90 -95 percent of it.” He said.

“Disciples of Jagaban”

Chief Omodewu gave the assurance while speaking at the southwest meeting of a pro-Asiwaju Bola Tinubu group, known as “Disciples of Jagaban” (DOJ) held in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. The meeting had in attendance representatives of the group from Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, and the Osun States

Omodewu who expressed concern that two Yoruba sons, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief MKO Abiola were denied the seat of power in 1963 and 1993 respectively, declared it was high time, people worked for the victory of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu

While calling for women’s participation in politics, he appealed to the women’s wing of the group to encourage more women to be actively involved in politics.

“No doubt, we need women in politics and they have chances in politics, encourage other women to join you in the political space”

The Oyo APC chairman used the opportunity to make passionate appeals to all aggrieved leaders in the state to sheath their swords in the interest of the party.

“There is no way there won’t be rancor, let’s settle whatever it is, unlike in the past when we didn’t have time to resolve our differences, we now have enough time to settle the difference, life is about to give and take”

Meanwhile, the group’s National co-ordinator, Comrade AbdulAkeem Adegoke said Disciples of Jagaban, (DOJ) was the first political movement that began mobilization for the actualization of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition.

He pointed out that it is important for Nigerians to have a clear understanding of their needs and wants, describing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as a candidate Nigeria needs at the moment.

“There are some things we need, we may not want it. In the case of Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi, some people want Peter Obi but nobody needs him, those who want Alhaji Abubakar Atiku want him but they don’t need him, and those who want Tinubu don’t need him” Comrade Adegoke said

Comrade Adegoke also noted that the presidential seat is not by political promises, but by what they have done in the past.

He further explained that “all of them have records, let’s visit their track records, Tinubu transformed what Lagos is today, Tinubu is a builder and a manager who will manage the resources of the country for the growth and development of all regions.”

“Atiku knows Tinubu has the skill, Peter Obi knows he has the knowledge and that Tinubu is the best among them, but when politics happen, and they don’t want to acknowledge his prowess” He concluded

Also speaking, Women leader, Lagos state Disciples of Jagaban, Alhaja Bajilaye Mutiat said the southwest DoJ was in Oyo state to canvas, mobilize and admonish more women to join the Asiwaju in his bid to become the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Alhaja Mutiat explained that women cannot afford to watch afar and expect things to change for the better.

Southwest co-ordinator of the group, Hon Gbemileke Olawore said APC is lucky to have a presidential candidate like Asiwaju Tinubu who is competent and sellable.
