‘Why Do People Always Have This Premonition About Their Death?’- X User Queries Wigwe’s ‘End Of Life’ Tweet
As Africa and most especially Nigerians continue to mourn the sudden passing of the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, netizens have wondered about his ‘ End of Life’ Tweet.
Recall that Herbert Wigwe, his wife, son, and three other passengers died in an unfortunate incident that happened on Friday.
They were reportedly heading for Las Vegas to watch the Super Bowl, the annual league championship game of the National Football League (NFL) of the United States.
Following this, netizens have dug out some of his recent tweets and found a philosophical expression the deceased Wigwe made about life just 21 days ago before the ill-fated chopper crash in California, United States.
Precisely, on the 19th of January, 2024 at about 3:33 pm, Wigwe tweeted about how life, ‘ a precious gift’ should be valued and utilised to express kindness.
‘Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift – a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience, and connect.
Let’s honor this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count.
Let us number our days.’ He wrote.
This tweet, has, however, got many netizens talking as one IFEANYICHUKWU admitted that the Access Bank CEO saw his death coming after wondering why he dropped that tweet, just days before his death.
He wrote, ‘Why do people always have this premonition about their death? He actually saw his death coming. Rest In Peace 🙏’
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party’s Peter Obi; the Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; Chairman of Geregu Power PLC, Femi Otedola; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN); Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; amongst others have also poured in their tribute on the tragic loss.
Death, despite being a thing every man must experience in life, is still seen as a mystery and superstition.
