‘We Have Made Progress,’-Orleans Superintendent Kirkpatrick Speaks On Re-Arrest Of Inmates Escapees Through Toilet Hole
Through surveillance footage, authorities from the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office have discovered how ten inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail on Friday.
The escape which started around 12:22am through the cameras saw the inmates tampered with a cell door and later showed them entering the compromised cell, slipping through a hole in the wall behind a toilet.
They exited through a loading dock, scaled a barbed-wire fence using blankets, and fled toward nearby railroad tracks and Interstate 10.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson who confirmed the escape said it was almost impossible to escape the facility without help.

Kirkpatrick stated that some progress have been made to return the escapees back to jail.
According to her, three of the escapees which included; Kendell Myles, Robert Moody, and Dkenan Dennis have since been captured while the remaining eight escapees are still at large.
Others are Corey Boyd, Lenton Vanburen, Jermaine Donald, and Derrick Groves.
The authorities, however, stated their commitment to keep searching for others; thereby urging the public to remain vigilant.
