‘We Are Not Taking Chances’- Madugu Shows Confidence in Super Falcons’ Win Against Cape Verde

Justin Madugu, the Super Falcons interim head coach is optimistic that the Falcons would make a headway as they prepare for a match with Cape Verde.

The Super Falcons will battle with Cape Verde in the second leg of their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Estádio Nacional de Capo Verde, Praia on Tuesday (today).

The nine-time African thrashed Cape Verde 5-0 in the first leg last week Thursday.

In an interview with NFF TV posted on the Super Falcons’ X handle.

Madugu said, “We are not taking anything into chance with the blend of players that we have. We are not taking anything for granted. We are here to play and win irrespective of the position. We will try and impress them so that they can get disgraced at home,”.

“No matter how great your team is, you will always notice a few areas you can improve on. We have noticed some areas we feel they can work harder so that they will perfect at least what we have noticed either offensively or defensively.”

The game will start at the Estadio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia by 4:00 p.m. local time, which is 6 p.m. Nigeria time.
