Victor Boniface Confirms Absence From AFCON 2023 Over Groin Injury
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has confirmed his unavailability for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pendulum Media gathered that Boniface sustained a groin injury while in training at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and was ruled out.
The strike is expected to return to Germany, where he will begin treatment for the injury.
Taking to his Instagram page, Boniface posted a message wishing the rest of his teammates all the best in the tournament.
He wrote, “Good luck guys… Wish you all the best at afcon ❤️❤️

The injury is expected to keep Boniface out for around six weeks.
However, a decision is expected to be made on his replacement soon.
