UNILAG Graduates 16,343 Students In 55th Convocation

The University of Lagos, UNILAG, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, has announced that a total of 16,343 students made it to the institution’s 55th convocation ceremony.
Speaking on activities lined up for the event, Prof. Ogunsola told newsmen on Wednesday that among the graduating students, 561 are in the first-class category, 3,910 are in the second-class upper class and 3,723 are in the second-class lower category.
Also, the Director General of the World Trade Organization, WTO, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the co-founder of Guarantee Trust Bank, Mr. Fola Adeola and the Managing Director of the Sahara Power Group, Mr. Kola Adesina, are to be honoured with an honorary doctorate during the ceremony.
Two distinguished Professors, Babajide Alo and Olukayode Hammond will be honoured with the Emeritus Professor award.
