Twelve Feared Dead In Blast At Turkey Explosives Plant

The local governor in northwest Turkey, Ismail Ustaoglu has disclosed that 12 people lost their lives with 4 others injured following a blast that suddenly occurred in the Karesi district of Balikesir.

Ustaoglu told newsmen that the blast happened on Tuesday around 8:25 am (0525 GMT) at a section of the plant, leaving part of the building collapsed.
Reportedly, footage showed shards of glass and metal scattered outside the plant.
The governor added that the deceased have been transported to the hospital, praying for their souls and speedy recovery to the wounded.
He said, “I wish God’s mercies upon our deceased citizens and a speedy recovery to our wounded”
Prosecutors have launched an investigation.
