“Team Tinubu will certainly meet you in court”-Onanuga Challenges Obi
The media aide to the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Mr. Bayo Onanuga has vowed that Tinubu’s team is ready to meet the Labour Party, (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, in court.
Onanuga in a tweet on Tuesday, said, Obi plans to treat Tinubu just like the retired military head of state, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) treated MKO Abiola, whose presidential election victory got annulled 30 years ago.
While stating Tinubu’s readiness in defending their presidential victory, Onanuga compared Obi’s decision to question the electoral process and results of the 2023 presidential poll which favored Ahmed-Tinubu to how Babangida annulled Abiola’s 1993 election victory.
“Peter Obi of the Labour Party seeks the annulment of the election of President-elect Bola Tinubu just like the military annulled MKO Abiola’s election of 12 June 1993. Team Tinubu will certainly meet you (Obi) in court.” He said.
Onanuga’s reaction is however based on the petition Obi filed on Tuesday at the tribunal in Abuja.
