Super Eagles Drop Eight Places In Lastest FIFA Ranking
The Federation of International Football Federation (FIFA) on Thursday has released the latest monthly ranking revealing the Super Eagles slip.
It showed that the three-time African champions dropped in eight places from 30th to 38th position.
Previously, the Super Eagles dropped two places in FIFA ranking following the team’s disappointing results in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The West Africans held the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a 1-1 draw at home and lost 2-1 away against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles are, however, among the top five teams in Africa.
Morocco are the highest ranked country on the continent, with Senegal in second position. Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire occupy third and fourth positions, respectively.
