Suicide: 400 Level Kwara Varsity Student Drinks Sniper Over Poor Academic Records
Sources in Kwara State University have reported the death of a student who allegedly committed suicide.
The Pendulum Media learned that a 400-level female student of the institution identified as Rashidat Shittu took her own life on Saturday by consuming a chemical suspected to be sniper in her hostel room.
It was also reported that the final-year student took her own life due to poor academic performance.
In a bid to save her life, Rashidat was rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH for medical attention where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Rasheedat was then buried at the Muslim Cemetery, in the Osere area of the Ilorin metropolis, by her family members and staff of the university.
