Stay Vigilant: Enugu CP Tells Residents, Assures Adequate Security During Easter
The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, has urged the residents of the State to be security conscious as they celebrate Easter.
In a statement issued by the Police Spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, on Friday in Enugu, residents are charged to mark the festive period
responsibly in peace and love as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
The commissioner, while urging residents to report suspected criminals and their activities to the nearest police station or personnel this festive period also gave assurance of adequate security.
Uzuegbu added that he had ordered Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Heads of Tactical and Operational Squads of Enugu Command to deploy all the intelligence and operational resources at their disposal.
He said, “I have ordered them to dominate and ensure visibility patrols and crime prevention in their areas of responsibility.
“I congratulate the good people of Enugu State at home and abroad, as they join other Christians in the world to celebrate this year’s Easter, which marks the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“I assure them of adequate security before, during, and after the period of the celebration.
“Christ’s voluntary sacrifice of his life for the salvation of man as an act of love is worthy of emulation.
