SouthWest to Become Industrial Hub of Nigeria- Atiku

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has declared he would transform the southwest zone into the industrial hub of Nigeria.

Alhaji Abubakar stated this while addressing PDP supporters at the ancient Mapo hall Ibadan during a campaign rally.

Addressing the crowd, he said his government if elected as President in the February 25, 2023 election, would also control the security situation in Nigeria as no development can take place in an atmosphere devoid of peace.

Moving on, the PDP Presidential aspirant mentioned that his government is committed to the unity of Nigeria through the inclusion of every zone of the country in governance.

He, however, expressed gratitude to the state governor, Seyi Makinde, a member of the G-5 governor who was absent from the event; for creating an enabling environment and providing the needed support for the peaceful rally.

Also speaking at the event is the PDP Vice- Presidential candidate and Governor of Delta state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who urged the electorates in Oyo state to vote for all PDP candidates from top to bottom emphasizing that the PDP is poised to rebuild Nigeria.

In a remark, the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu also stated that the PDP has a dream for the country which he said is gradually coming to a reality

The chairman then urged all aggrieved members including the G-5 Governors led by Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike to return to the party to collectively take the country to greater heights.

Other notable party leaders who spoke at the rally and canvassed votes for PDP include; the chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Governor Ademola Adele, Alhaji Atiku’s wife, Mrs. Titilayo Abubakar, Senator Dino Melaye, and former Minister of State for FCT, Jumoke Akinjide, amongst others.
